  Q1: Can I just connect DP7010 via Mini-USB Cable without power adapter?
It is strongly recommend using the Power Adaptor (external power supply) when it is connected to the Mini-USB Cable.

  Q2: How can I make sure that DP7010 is connected to PC?
When DP7010 is connected to PC successful, it will show "USB" icon on the lower left side of DP7010 display. After you unplug Mini-USB Cable, the "USB" icon will stay for 3~4 seconds. When the "USB" icon disappears, then you can operate DP7010 safely.
