Using DP7010-SP/DP7010 (v1.1.x) for the First Time
Q1: Why can't the DP7010-SP be turned on when pressing the "Power On/Off button?" Is the unit broken?
Q2: Is it necessary to charge the battery before using DP7010-SP for the very first time?
Q3: Is there any driver that need to be installed? Where can I download drivers?

  Q1: Why can't the DP7010-SP be turned on when pressing the "Power On/Off button?" Is the unit broken?
First check to release "HOLD" before the power is turned on. DP7010-SP is set in advance with "HOLD" locked when dispatched from the factory. When "HOLD" is locked, none of the buttons or switches will function. This is for the purpose of protecting DP7010-SP in the course of transport. Push "HOLD" button upward, then press and hold the "Power On/Off button" for about 2 seconds to turn DP7010-SP on.

  Q2: Is it necessary to charge the battery before using DP7010-SP for the very first time?
Yes. Please connect the power adaptor to "DC 12V" power socket on the left side of DP7010-SP and it is best to charge up to 10 hours for first time usage.

  Q3: Is there any driver that need to be installed? Where can I download drivers?

Your DP7010-SP can be regarded as a USB mass storage device with USB 2.0.

  • For Windows ME/2000/XP users:
    Don't need to install any driver because when connect USB to DP7010-SP, the computer will detect this USB mass storage device automatically.
  • For Windows 98 SE users:
    There aren't any built-in drivers for USB. Therefore, users will be asked to install a driver when connecting DP7010-SP to your PC. Drivers can be found in the DP7010-SP package, or users may download it from our website.
